Coalitions of manufacturing components for shop floor agility - the CoBASA architecture
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this article an agent-based architecture in which cooperation is regulated by contracts is proposed as a flexible approach to dynamic shop floor re-engineering. It describes the dynamic and flexible co-operation of manufacturing agents, representing manufacturing resources, and how they can be created from a generic agent template. Agents behaviour and contract types and structure are discussed. First experimental results are also introduced.

Reactive Scheduling System Implementations Using a Simulated Shop Floor
Developing approaches to integrating manufacturing applications is important for increasing manufacturing productivity. A reactive scheduling system architecture has been developed that defines how to integrate scheduling technology with manufacturing shop floor applications. Prototype implementations based on this architecture have been built using a simulation of a shop floor instead of a rea...
متن کاملReal Time Distributed Shop Floor Scheduling Using an Agent-Based Service-Oriented Architecture
This paper proposes a distributed manufacturing scheduling framework at the shop floor level. The shop floor is modeled as a collection of multiple workcells, each of which is modeled as a flexible manufacturing system. The framework consists of a distributed shop floor control structure, dynamic distributed scheduling algorithms, multi-agent system modeling of workcell, and service oriented in...
متن کاملA distributed, event-driven control architecture for flexibly automated manufacturing systems
This paper presents a new distributed real-time control architecture for flexibly automated production systems. The modelling assumptions underlying the design are driven by, and abstract, the structure and operations of the emerging 300 mm semiconductor manufacturing fab, one of the most extensively automated environments in contemporary manufacturing. The key element of the controller design ...
متن کاملSimulation Based Shop Floor Control
This paper presents an overview of simulation-based shop floor control. Much of the work described herein is based on research conducted in the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Lab at The Pennsylvania State University, the Texas A&M Computer Aided Manufacturing Lab (TAMCAM), Technion in Israel, and the University of Arizona CIM lab over the past decade. In this approach, a discrete event...
متن کاملDesign of Computer Integrated Manufacturing System for Irankhodro Auto Industry
Computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM), technologies are presented as solutions to manufacturing organizations, which need to perform well in all customer-related dimensions simultaneously. In the literature, CIM technologies providing such benefits as more frequent production changes, reduced inventory level, improved ability of producing complex parts with a high degree of accuracy and repea...
